I Need help. Can't stop double clutching...

I read a really long but good post on the 9-3 board about gearboxes, rev matching and double clutching. I've thought that the gearbox in my '01 9-3 SE is not the best. Clicky going into gears (up and down) and stickey coming out. I am just not used to feeling gear teeth when downshifting. I'm an avid "driver" and total gearhead with a 45 minute twisty commute. Been driving manual cars and trucks since a teenager. A blip of the throttle has always been good enough for me, even in a "big" truck with a 13 speed (no clutch). After reading the post, I realized that matching the revs without double clutching really doesn't take the load off the syncros... it's the engagement in neutral that truly matches shaft speeds.. right? So I've started double clutching and the shifts feel soooo smooth that I can't stop. Now I even do it in my wife's A4 and my plow Jeep. Someone give me a downside so I can stop this foolishness... or a good therapist that can work with my problem. Thanks, Cris
