is not necessary? In that, when downshifting,if you blip the throttle with the clutch in, you still speed up that intermediate shaft (layshaft or whatever it's called) on your way through neutral. I've been of the impression that unless you let the clutch out in neutral, you're not achieving the true match. For years, I would just give a blip on my way through neutral and figured that did it.... until I read the post and now I think the true doubleclutching does work better for my car. I have switched to Redline MTL and I think that helped somewhat but I still think my syncros are a little suspect... thanks all, I'm feeling a little better about my condition, C.
