Coming off the highway last night (in my wife's 89 900T auto; my SPG is temporarily out of commission) I pass a cop who is waiting to turn left across 3 lanes. It is a tough left to make (I try it sometimes, and avoid it when possible). I'm doing 50 in a 40 when I pass him, and he flips his tree-lights on. Damn.

I slow down, everyone slows down. Turns out, he was using his tree to make the turn. What a jerk.

This particular area happens to have a lot of traffic lights. Traffic is not heavy, but not light either. Coming away from a light, we're all bunched together, with the cop up near the front of the pack. He's tailgating like nobody's business. The car ahead of him is doing 40 mph (in a 40 zone), and won't/can't get over to get out of this jerk's way. He flips his lights on again! Traffic slows down/stops, he takes off. A lane opens up behind him when he takes off, so.... I floor it and kept up with him. I wanted to get his car number to report him, but then, I decided to just have fun with him!

No matter how many times he flipped on his lights and cut people off changing lanes, I stayed with him. I was driving normally, which made this all the more fun. I made some normal lane changes, signaling, etc. Never really had to speed either (only to catch up with him). I would always be a few cars in front of him at the lights, while he was obviously getting pissed off that he could not take off and do 80 in this 40 zone.

Eventually, this road turns into a 45 zone, and then a 50 shortly after. At the spot where it goes from 40 to 45 I managed to get right next to the cop, who again was right behind someone doing exactly the speed limit, and he was on their bumper, too. I just rode the speed limit right next to him, pinning him in behind this car. He'd cause an accident if he flipped his lights on, so no dice there. We rode like that for a good 5 minutes!

Eventually, I got over to get to where I was going in the first place. He was still stuck in traffic, and again, he flipped his lights on to pass people. What a freakin' jerk. Cops taking liberties with their police cars is unacceptable. But then again, so is speeding. ; )
