Very good humor. I've got a friend who's a cop and he says one of the frustrating things about driving the cruiser is that everyone goes exactly the limit instead of driving like a normal person, just as he'd like to do. Sort of shows clearly how stupid the speed laws in this country are set. Anyway, I agree with you that taking liberties with the cop lights just to get to the donut shop faster is wrong, pisses people off, sets a bad example (I'm above the law, I don't have to wait for this light if I don't want to -- why should I wait if there's no trafic for a mile in any direction?!) and is ILLEGAL besides. Then again, reporting him/her to a superior probably wouldn't go any good but you never know.
Reminds me of the time I passed an unmarked car while doing the limit on a rainy day - he promptly pulled me over for excess speed for the conditions! Jerk. I can see that if its snowy or the roads are slick from rain but it was a 45 zone and the roads were just wet! At least he didn't ticket me for my expired inspection, which is where I was going in the first place.
Glad you got to toy with that stupid SOB.
