WIfe got a ticket yesterday.....opinions wanted

She had just entered the Interstate in Olympia WA and was working her Audi A4 left around a bunch of slow cars that were moving at 45 to 50 mph. The speed limit was 60, and the main traffic flow was doing 70 (as usual). She got over and merged into the fast lane and got nailed. The cop said she was doing 72, but he wrote her down for 70 in a 60 zone.
She wants to fight the ticket, reasoning that she was just trying to be safe and keep up with the flow. She had another speeding ticket a few months ago. I say she won't win, she just got unlucky this time when the cop picked her to pull over. She refuses to use a radar detector, and I am sure it would have saved her in this case. Most of the WA troopers use older KA band rather than photo or instant-on.
What do you folks think? Is it worth her trip to court? Is "keeping up with the flow" a valid reason for speeding, in the eyes of the law?
