You would, I assume, try to learn Swedish if you did move to Sweden. Good luck in trying coz I was totally bamboozled as there is the written language and the spoken language and they are TOTALLY different. And before anyone says anything watching re-runs of the Muppet Show will not help in learning the language (remember the Swedish Chef? BORK BORK BORK!!). I have been to Stockholm four times and I must say it has to be the most beautiful of all the European capitals. The people there, IMHO, tend to be a little weary of foreigners at first but once you try out a few words in Swedish they just love you. You will find that when you walk into a small store people say "HEJ" pronounced like the American "HEY". (Swedish for HI). Say hej back to them and hope they dont start rambling on at you in 'Svensk'. When you leave say "hej da" pronounced "hey door" with a soft 'r' even if they spoke to you in English, they get quite a kick out of it! If you cant get your tongue around Swedish, Germany would be a better bet as German is much easier to learn. Dont even attempt Dutch, you would find yourself spitting all over everyone - very very friendly people tho! If you dont fancy a crack at a foreign language you could go to England but even then it can be tough as in some parts of England people speak at 500 miles per hour most of the time! BEING A MANCUNIAN I CAN VOUCH FOR THIS!
Wherever you get to good luck, the experience will be great!
