I agree, switched off & the ABS controller isn't doing anything... It's just the elevation & orientation of each brake line. If you bleed wheels in the wrong order, the only problem is you might have to go around a couple times to get all the bubbles out.
Pretty much everybody has diagonal circuits, & before ABS you did the rear first 'cause it was likely to let bubbles into the front. The plumbing was pretty much the same on all cars. If you did the front first, then the back, you'd have to go back & do the front again 'cause probably a bubble got in there. With ABS the plumbing is not always the same from one car model to another. Our '98 Accord goes LF - RF - RR - LR for that reason, and the circuits are diagonal.
I didn't realize that the rear caliper has only metal tubing... I gotta remember to look next time I rotate tires. But it has to flex somewhere...
