I just did my engine freshen bearings, timing chain, guides, complete head job, port/polish 3 angle valve grind... The machine shop manual for my car stated 1 retorque after reaching operating temp. It said to bring up to operating temp, then let complete cool down and retorque. When you re-torque, is it just checking the torgue is still at a certain point, say 80 Ft-pounds or is it actually loosening each head bolt and re-torquing to spec? I have been told the stretch bolts are only good for one time, if that is true, you would not want to losen and retorque...
