I talked with a nitrous technician at a performance shop about doing this to get some snort out of my car. I dont want to do anything like change around the ecu, change cams, or buy a new exhaust system. I just want to have a little more power, not all the time (thats why im not considering a performance chip). I wouldnt use the nitrous all the time and I dont want to take it to a track...street driving only.
Having a compression ratio of 10.5:1 I would not have a problem using a 35hp shot of nitrous, but I would like to know if anyone has had problems with a 50hp shot? The nitrous guy I talked to said my 2.3 engine could handle the 50 shot without retarding the timing or beefing up the moving parts and 50hp is the max for me.
JAK I see you race with nitrous and use shots upwards of 100hp. Thats probably on the 2.0 engine with lower compression but what do you think about the 2.3?
Thanks a lot guys
