Well, I have been a Saab owner for 14 years now, all 4cyl turbo charged. I have driven the six and there is no way I would ever buy it. I felt as though I was driving one of the generic GM cars that I have often rented while traveling.
The six cyl isn't as reliable and like other's here, I have heard from numberous Saab techs that it's very troublesome.
My 94 CSE turbo runs flawless at 257k on the odometer. In fact leaving for a 600 mile weekend trip this evening. My point is I have gotten high mileage out of all of my Saabs 340K, 255K and 257 respectively. I don't think the six is capable of doing that. Most GM engines become troublesome at 100-120k.
