Actually the *proper* way to do the Trionic CPU mod vis a vis fuel enrichment would be to not have fuel enrichment, but in fact water enrichment (we are all on pulpits here !). The extra heat associated with the extra boost/hp could be dissapated via water injection rather than fuel injection. Saab did use Trionic for this very purpose with 15-25% WOT improvement in fuel consumption and Lambda=1 all the time. If we consider all the other mods we make to our cars, water injection seems a not unreasonable solution to increase boost, power, longetivity and decrease emissions.
If you do it right, you can even add water through the fuel rail and injectors. Check out Saab's solution at
