...and it was, um, really expensive. $1100 for *just* the cartridge.
I was using a Garrett T-3 Turbonetics Super-60 before, and all I did was change the cartridge out to the bb Super-60 type. I reused the same intake housing and exaust housing on the turbo.
My seat-of-the-pants dyno detected no increase in power or decrease in lag. This made me very sad. Regardless, the bb should make increases in reliability, if not measureable power. The compressor wheel has no play, and can withstand compressor stall without crashing the shaft at least. It certainly wasn't any worse, which is more than I can say for some of my misguided "upgrades" on that car.
btw just getting the Turbonetics S60 upgrade is a huge increase for the c900 Turbos, it is particularly well matched to the 2.0L 16V with free-flow intake and bigger exhaust. ZZZZoooommm!! I would highly recommend it for the $500 or whatever it costs to upgrade a tired old T-3 to this level.
