Your dual sourse mbc sounds like a similar system that some trionic's use to switch signal for BPV from before to aft TB, as I recall?
For stock pre94 boost control systems the best tap location is just before the TB. For dawes relief type MBC, can go right to the manifold since the check valve will prevent vacuum at the WG actuator that may damage internal bellows type diaphram. The long hose issue can be corrected by simply increasing the size of the hose, for low pressure drop, and using proper reducers/fittings.
On my old 924T, 10mm hoses were used for both the external wg, and the BPV (which was built into the KKK compr housing).
The elec boost controls can use the direct compressor signal, and control based on a separate manifold reading. Profec B is good example.
Ideal is to use mbc with the stock system, set to say 2/3 max boost, to maintain some knock protection.
