Pure oxygen?

Here's a fun little debate that I've never seen approached before.
How about using compressed oxygen as a quick booster? Kinda like nitrous oxide? Have a little tank of compressed oxygen that sprays into the system just after the air filter? The AMM would detect the additional oxygen so the fuel system would be able to account for it, plus it would be very cold due to the compression inside the tank. Plus, it would increase the pressure at the turbo compressor's inlet, thereby decreasing the pressure ratio and allowing the turbo to boost harder. I bet it would be relatively safe and easy to get a good 100hp out of it, and oxygen is cheap. Oxygen would also be much more effective in smaller doses. Air is 23% oxygen by weight, nitrous is 36%, and oxygen is.. well.. 100%.
Has anyone ever tried anything like this before, or heard of something like this being tried before?
