Hey, sorry i was unable to repond. I was travelling today. My car has a boost gauge installed, so i know for sure that it was up to the edge of 14-15psi and then tapered to 10.
Kooch had mentioned earlier about timing and it got me thinking about exactly what AdamB said- i wonder if the ECU is detecting knock and is retarding the timing. That's about my best guess. The car certainly feels stronger on the street than those numbers would indicate (because of cool air over the intercooler?).
Anyway, i got my grubby little hands on a TD04HL-15T turbo, so hopefully the higher rpms will see a benefit from it. I'm sure i'll figure out what the problem is, but i'm always open to input from you guys. Sometimes an answer can be so obvious that it's easily overlooked.
