If you like how they look (personally, I think they look great, especially the Aero) and you are interested in modifying a car, the Aero is the way to go. I have a 95 Aero, and while it is almost bone stock, save a Forge BPV I installed (which I install on ALL of my turbo Saabs), it is fast as h*ll, gets great gas mileage (30+ on road trips) and it is unbelievably comfortable. Plus, you can haul a ton of crap in it, just like a C900! We put our entire 6ft tall Christmas tree in the back of our Aero last weekend. The look on the guys' faces as Home Depot was priceless.
On top of that, the potential for modification is huge with the Aero. Bolt ons like exhaust & ECU will net you 100+ hp. Check out SQR and Maptun for more info on that. I think the 9K Aero is one of the best cars ever made, and thus, I will always keep one in the stable. That said, I will always have a C900, too, just 'cause they're fun to own.
Downside: yes, the 9K is more expensive to maintain (parts are generally more expensive). To me, the benefits are well worth the added cost.
