I've kind of had both...

I drove a 90 spg through most of college and then after wrecking it I bought a 1992 9000T. I would have to recommend against the aero. My 9000 straight up blows away my spg in every respect except for the great feel that only driving c900 can give you. However if I raced myself, stock to stock, I'd be getting that great feeling several car lengths behind in my spg.
The problem with the aero is maintanence costs and if you felt prohibited by the spg, run away from the aero. The 93 has a traction control system that can be complicated and insanely pricey to fix. Also if it hasn't happened already that car is about due for a timing chain/ head gasket replacement. Don't forget to do all the accessories and seprentine belt related things at the same time. Think 2-3 grand.
93 is also a wild card for tuning, as most ecu's are made for 94-98. The 93 has a somewhat different engine management system, being the first year of trionic. I would say try to find yourself a 96, the first year of no TCS. You'll pay more up front, but you'll have much less to deal with maintenance wise and you'll defer a lot of rebuilding three years down the road, when your out of college.
If you can't afford the 96, then stick with c900. So much cheaper and easir to deal with( did I mention you have to drop the tranny out of the bottom of the 9000 to replace the clutch)
Also I've been posting with the name Chad for over four years now. Would you mind adding a the first letter of your last name or something like that?
Thanks, Chad
