The 4% CO to make idle well is troublesome. This may indicate incorrect ignition timing.
Do you know how to check ignition timing on the DI? If so check the timing at idle.
It sounds as if the timing can be retarded.
Do not worry that I am going to directions at once. I will post as new ideas come to mind.
Do you have a volt/ohm meter?
All the questions are so that a plan can be worked out.
