Is what I was getting at with the disadvantages of AWD/4WD.
The other thing that's silly about most quoted 0-60 times is what is done to achieve them - rev the car up to red line and drop the clutch. How many sane drivers do that on a regular basis? A more realistic test would be 0-60 without exceeding 3,000 rpm while the clutch pedal is on the floor...
