Yes, I understand your point of view to this dilerma, but you must be aware of the heat load difference when driving a NA car Turbo. Once under WOT changes are rapid and keeping thing on the cool side will be seen as gains on the dyno chart. I will look around the internet to see if I can find anything interesting. In the mean while you can do the same or dyno your car in fourth gear also ;)
You might want to add Sami to your list also, his car did dyno 216WHP stock in 3rd also. This is interesting since we have a pattern and I would like to get to the bottom of it, just like you.

Here is also some additional data that might come to your interest.
This is just and example of what needs to be to the target airmaas figure to bump out resuls to the level, where you, Rico and my friend stand with the out given 3rd gear dyno results. I believe we all can agree that a upgrade ECU does make changes to the boost control (airmass), but I think only few of us really know what the magnitude of these changes in the ECU are. The following figures are for stock B205R and for the same car once stage III was installed.
From the plot we can see that the airmass flow g/s has been increased by 22% among with other changes like fuel maps, timing etc. Remember the stage III includes the downpipe, so in drews case only the IC is extra. Non of you actually think that the IC would raise the VE so much that it would compensate for a 22% gain in airmass? Sorry the equation just doesn't add up. Extra airmass just doesn't drop in from the sky, the SW needs to be altered.
Also we can study the airmass/combustions which is widely recognized for being proportional to torque, just like the airmass flow is for BHP.
