But new turbo springs are not very stiff at all...
The person who owned my gf's 90 spg had put the new turbo springs on so he could fit Aero wheels, the static ride height was slightly higher, but the ability to compress them was still really easy. She was getting very bad rubbing with any decent bump, even with nothing in the trunk.
I swapped them out for some older spg springs and used on sasab spacer on each spring (you cna use two) and the ride height didn't change overall, but the rubbing is 95% better.
I still plan on doing the axle relocation, which I just spoke to Brad at kcsaab.com about. If you get him the trailing arms and bushings he can mod them for you.
