Blower motor "seizes" because water sits at the lower bearing and rusts the shaft, esp. on 03 and 04.
1. Make sure the drain in front of the filter is clear so water does not enter the blower housing.
2. remove the motor from the housing, 3 screws. With fan down start using PB blaster to free the motor. I use electric to spin, then a spray lubricant, I like NAPA chain lube. When done the motor should run freely with a 1.5 volt battery.
3. drill a small hole at the base of the motor hsg. rubber? plug so any water can drain(will collect on the plastic cover below and evaporate.
4. Replace and test.
Have fixed 8 cars with this method, much less than a new motor.
