I think the difference in offset is more like 5mm or 10mm. With 15mm I would wonder about rubbing on the fender during steering full-lock. But if they aren't any farther outboard than your other tires, then OK.
I've used 215/55-R16 tires on ET35 rims without rubbing.
I've used 235/45-R17 tires on ET38 rims without rubbing.
So if you know the offset ("ET" number normally embossed somewhere on tbe inside of the rim) of your 16" rims, we can compare inboard & outboard faces with actual numbers. Your 15mm spacers will reduce the offset by 15, so it'll take an ET48 rim & turn it into an ET33.
edit... when I say "I've used..." what I mean is I have them on a 2010 9.3 combi.
