Jeff,
Now that you have removed pink plastic pin retainer from connectors terminal block, soak, spray all that corrosion with either aerosol contact cleaner spray or use Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) use plastic bristle brush or equivalent to go around and between terminals with caution, be gentle. You have to neutralize corrosion and green corrosion bi-products that you see. It will give you a better visual where the barbed tab is and have a better overall picture of what you are dealing with.
Remember terminal block's location of the pin you have extracted as an adjacent hole may not house a connector and may also be empty. Do one at the time to prevent confusion and additional and unnecessary stress of which pin goes where. Do a quick drawing on a piece of paper of which pin you'd be extracting.
When you crimp new pin, go over it with a bit of solder and then use nail lacquer ( you can inquire from any lady in your family ) to cover / seal the area.
By moving (good) pin from side to side while observing (with the help of magnifying glass) one can visually see where that tab is that needs to be depressed from the opposite side with your extractor tool. Do not force tool however you would feel that you have to jam it in there with (some) force provided you have picked a correct extractor and you are able to depress that tab and pull pin/receptacle out. You have to keep an eye that you don't damage plastic surrounding of individual pin as you have potential after the fact of new pin not being securely sitting locked in there. Listen to a click from that barb tab as it overcomes compression and springs outward when fully and properly inserted. Pull back on newly inserted terminal to confirm proper installation.
Let as know of your progress.
Thanks,
