My first car was a Mini, just about the most fun you could have in a car, transverse engine or not.
The only other car that I ever wanted from childhood was a Saab. Now I enjoy myself in a 93SE, a unique car and in my opinion already a design classic. We bought the car in 2002 knowing that it was going to be replaced, my feeling was that it was the last of a great line and would always remain the best 93, and would never have to worry about it details being upgraded yearly. And as a car that earns its keep, I am always amazed at the amount of stuff you can pack into the back of a 93 hatch. Brilliant car...
