This is also my first Saab. I LOVE this car!! I always wondered what Saab owners like about their 'different' cars, and now I know.
Whether it will be my last, however depends on where GM drives the marque. I am revelling in the smooth power, reliability, and utility of a 2001 Viggen coupe. It is sporty, fast, carries a nice load, and is NOT a family sedan. I liked the 9-3SS and I was more than pleased when Saab served up the 9-2X (a great decendent of an already great car -- the Subaru WRX). However if Sporthatches, 9-7X's, SUVs, etc. are the future of Saab, it will probably be without me. I do not like any mainstream corporate GM product except the new small performance Caddys. Never have, never will. I guess it is something about a car telling me it will lock the doors and run the headlights without me telling it to is irritating.
On the other hand if Saab wisely decides to install the 9-5 Aero engine with manual trans and AWD in the 9-3SS or makes an STi equivilent of the 9-2X, I will be first in line.
