I have a 2001 black Aero Wagon, and it does indeed show the slightest imperfections. While it is possible to get out most of the marks by hand (I just detailed my car last weekend) it will take you ALL day. First you have to get the surface really clean, using a clay bar or tar remover, so that the old wax and any particulates are removed. Then you have to rub rub rub with a good polish. Then you swear. Then you wax. Then you collapse.
I am going to get Griot's polishing system for the next time. All his products work great. Here's a link.
