2.3T oil leak/belt failing -- HELP!

My wife and I just traded in our 900 on a '99 9-5 wagon with 59K original miles. It's got an oil leak that's bad enough to leave a spot about 3-4" in diameter on cardboard overnight. The serpentine belt is also being pulled in, toward the timing cover slightly -- and it's rubbing on the timing cover near the water pump pulley. What little bit of feeling I have been able to do does not reveal and obvious pulley wear, but I can't think of anything else that would be causing this issue. The belt seems to ride fine on all the pulleys up to the power steering pulley, where it keeps jumping inward one groove, and the water pump pulley, obviously.
The oil leak is another matter altogether. I tried the head bolt procedure (which I wanted to do anyway), and that has not eliminated it. The PCV upgrade was done just before we bought the car. The oil leak is difficult to track down since it is getting on the belt and being distributed all over the face of the timing cover. I don't see that the water pump pulley has slipped and worn into the timing cover, as SWEDECAR has noted in other posts. Looks like just the belt has been rubbing on the timing cover (at least so far).
Any ideas? Many thanks in advance!
