Dave's right.
Last summer, a couple of weeks after getting my new wheels and tires installed, I began to hear a clicking noise from one side of the front while turning in the opposite direction (loading that side).
After assuming I had suspension damage/loose brake caliper/bad car karma I decided to check the wheel bolts, just for the heck of it. They were all lose--all twenty of them. It was only a matter of time before the bolts began to back off and drop to the pavement.
This is the opposite of the usual problem, which is tire monkeys using their impact wrenches to overtighten until your rotors warp and, really, is more dangerous to the car and driver.
Five minutes torquing everything up with the trusty Snap-on and the noise was gone. Whew.
