Have seen far to many failures on vehicles (9-3/9-5) that come into the shop with blown/noisy shocks and/or torn mounts from Monroe. Seems that almost every aftermarket shop uses them as they are cheap and available anywhere. Would never use them on my own cars, wont use them yours either. The thrust plate bearings coming apart seems to also be a very common failure as well.
Monroe is junk, stick to Sachs/Boge, Koni or Bilstein. Thats why Monroe gives you a lifetime warranty, so your not upset when it fails so soon.
