You can remove the old struts intact without using a spring compressor, but you will still need to compress the new springs to assemble the new strut. Maybe a garage can pre-assemble these for you.
I bought my MTC mounts and SKF strut bearings from RMEuropean. They also sell the Lemforder (OEM) brand mounts at a very reasonable price but their web site showed them out of stock the other night.
