The Neutral Safety Switch "rebuild" was a success.
Very ease following post and photos by others.
Sole expense was for 9ea #4 X 40 X 3/4" long zinc machine screws and the one 5/64th" drill bit I broke.
8 of the 9 original aluminum rivets came out in one piece using only a hand drill.
After cleaning the area around the transmission dip stick tube, I removed it and inserted a cork from a recently consumed bottle of Chardonnay.
Many thanks to FredKolb12 and MI-Roger for their help.
I was able to order a spare NSS from TheSaabSite Product #5256060 for my 2001 9.5's for $297.41 plus shipping.
