I installed R1 Concepts rotors + Akebono pads on all 4 wheels of my 9-5 less than 2 years/50k miles ago. The fronts lasted ~1.5 years before they got warped, were quite rusted when replaced. The rears will be replaced this weekend. The rears got really rusted - I would say about 50% of the plated non-contact surface is now covered with rust. The worst is that about 20% of the working surface is now covered with rust (rust is harder than ceramic pad material - so once it forms it just gets glazed and stays there).

Maybe there are different grades of R1 rotots - the ones I got were definetely not top of the line at $156 for 4 slotted/drilled/plated rotors.

I just placed an order for new rotors - this time I went with ATE PLATED from RMEuropean ($67 front, $43 rears). ATE is reputable brand and the OEM for Saab genuine rotors so I hope they would be much better than R1.

The best rotors I had were from iRotors.com . Did not rust or warp for about 6 years/90k but are about twice the cost of ATE.
