I recently went through the same decission about three months ago. I went with the Aero. The 2.3 HOT is a great engine - it is very very smooth for a four. It has a lot of power for a four and the power is available at low RPMs. The Aero suspesion is also excellent. The Arc is a nice car but as Saab indicates is tuned more for luxury than sport. I also like the ground-work on the Aero - I think it helps to bring the shape of the car together and gives an aggressive look without being over-done. I would go drive both - you will be able to make your own decission relatively quickly as they have a different feel.

The pricing seems pretty reasonable. The only thing I can think of is that manual Aero has the similar cost as an Auto Arc. So if the Aero does not have any additional features - you might be able to push under $35 if they are willing to do $34 on the Arc.
