You are looking for the large lever-tool to compress the fingers, not the easily jury-rigged tool that keeps them compressed during removal (spackle pail handle). Several others have posted means of compressing the fingers w/o this tool. Perhaps one of them can re-post. Normally, this step can be accomplished using the clutch hydraulics but when the replacement is driven by hydraulics failure, or the powerplant has been pulled w/o performing the spring compression first, the tool you describe is the easiest way out. The Saab dealer may not show the number you had but I would suspect that they have the tool. Maybe a reasonable fee and hefty deposit could secure it for your use for an evening.
