Kalle is right on here, there appears to have been several versions of this tool. I borrowed two different lever tools from a local SAAB shop when my slave cylinder broke suddenly about a year ago. Neither one fit at all. The slave cylinder was the newer updated version with the rubber cover and spring. I was forced to use the "hacksaw method" which actually worked very well.

Also, Mike H's post makes an important point about the spacer tool being the right size. If it is too thick, it will require a lot of clutch pedal pressure to release it and the slave cylinder could lock in the compressed position. Then you are in trouble. Make sure to give your helper instructions to press the clutch pedal in gradually while you tug on the spacer tool but not to press the pedal all the way down. If you press the clutch pedal all the way to the floor while the spacer tool is in place, the slave cylinder could lock up. I learned this the hard way once. Good luck.
