Yes, if you are lucky you may be able to get enough air out of the system that way to get the clutch back - if the mc and slave internals are mostly intact. I, along with several others who have posted here, have had better luck using the reverse bleed method - uses a $2.49 oversize 2 cycle oil mixing syringe from Walmart - to force fluid into the bleed screw on the slave. If you just have a very small leak in the hose, pumping the pedal a number of times without opening the bleed screw may drive enough air out of the fluid to get the pedal back briefly. I was able to do that when I had the seep at the connection to the slave.
