goes well with that!
As far as the car goes, aside from the grounds (always a simple good idea to start), have you checked to make sure your fuel gauge is working properly?
There is a quick and easy way to check it by shorting the 3 prong connector that goes to the fuel sender. You should get the gauge to shoot to the full position, and the low level light will come on at same time. There are lots of posts on it in the archives, search "low fuel light" for instance.
You can also listen to the sound of the float in your fuel level sender to hear if it moves easily as you tip it upside down & back again. That may be part of the reason your gauges is taking so long to register. Again, the archives, try searching under "fuel sender".
I think there is also a ground on the back of the gauges, or amongst the instruments back there, perhaps someone else can chime in on that to confirm?
Giving your location as suggested may help you find a shop or person more able to help you. Unless you've tried 3 different shops each of the 3 times you've had issues?
Just a couple of ideas to add to you list of either a) doing, or b) asking good questions at the shop! Take care.
Mark :-)
