Albany Speed Shop (former New Salem Saab folks) are certainly competent with c900s, so on that front I'd think you'll be OK.

You didn't mention any driveability issues, just that you need a new pump and mileage isn't what it used to be. Is the car having trouble starting, blowing smoke, loss of power, fuel smell, anything like that? It's unusual for a c900 to burn through pumps like that without some other issue. Could be electrical, could be a stuck injector, could be a dirty MAF sensor, could be a myriad of other things. Knowing if you have any other symptoms would help us diagnose.

On the fuel sender issue; The sender is a float type. The float rides on two parallel shafts within the canister. The canister is press-fit onto the top cap with the electrical connections. Over time, the canister can come loose from the cap. Sometimes it gets loose enough to fall off and ends up in the bottom of your tank. If that happens you won't get a signal at all. If the canister gets twisted, or cocked on the cap, the two parallel rods that the float rides on will rotate off parallel and the float can't ride smoothly up them any more and can get stuck somewhere between empty and full. When you drive, sloshing gas can make the float creep up and down on the two shafts a little, but you won't get an accurate reading.
