25 years driving the c900 and I've never heard of anyone running more than 450 HP through a SAAB shrapnel box.....and you're running over 700 HP through one? I mean no disrespect, but 45 years of experience tells me that's not a reasonable claim.... Please, do tell what kind of magical transmission you possess that allows that kind of extreme torque to be unleashed on a flimsy-cased SAAB trans. Please excuse my skepticism, but those numbers don't add up to the cars I've owned and worked on.... Chill cast, steel reinforced, steel diff covers, etc. I've seen many, but NONE survived massive torque beyond 400 HP. Lastly, I agree that these cars are under the radar to most. That's a big part of their appeal, the second part being that it's a gentleman's car with an edge. As I said, I've been driving them consistently for 25 years,(although no winters anymore, as to preserve them from the ravages of salt) and I'll drive them until the day I can no longer drive!
