Only as a passenger (and one special time, sitting behind the copilot in a B-17).
One other thing that I've noticed over the years rebuilding clutch masters is that there is an internal spring which pushes the piston back to its rest position when the pedal is released. These springs tend to fatigue and break after a couple of decades of city driving. When that happens, the master cylinder can't replenish the little bit of fluid that leaks past the seals; the pedal will eventually sink to the floor. It's a proprietary spring that can't be bought at a hardware store and doesn't come with rebuild kits.
This doesn't directly address your issue with the leaking slave cylinder but you may want to pack this in your memory bank as a contributing factor in other future clutch problems.
