Thanks for the info. That's reassuring. After looking around some, it seems most have put up to 24 ounces in, following the rule of thumb that it needs 20% less than the R12 charge. I'm going to stick to the Townsend recommendation of 19.2 ounces for now and see how it performs in higher temps in the Summer.
Got my compressor from Rock Auto also. Seems like they did a good job on the restoration.
