I've topped 500 on a number of occasions ('93 Aero, 5-spd). (Like Loveland, CO to Billings, MT... or Sacramento, CA(area) to Portland, OR) Gotta love these cars.
The SID/EDU reported 42mpg after a day in Yellowstone (45mph speed limit, and no reason to go faster)
If I had the patience, I'd try driving a whole tank at about 55mph. My dad's 9-5 had to once when we got a flat on Christmas and rode on the donut for about 300 miles. He got over 600 miles on that tank!
