I also read how to lock car without setting alarm system: Lock psgr side doors, get out of car, open driver side rear door, reach in and lock driver door by button, lock rear door by button, close it.
Make DARN sure you have your key with you and not still in the ignition if you do this.
This is good for anyone whose alarm keeps tripping and getting them in trouble with neighbors - - condo dwellers or city folks.
