Im convinced my 1990 9000 achieves better MPG at higher speeds after crunching some numbers. I have the instantaneous MPG display and it just seems these cars were built to cruise on the highway and go fast. IMHO the early 9ks were built for highway cruising. The pickup on my 9k in the 65-80 mph range is amazing. No need to downshift to 4th just mash on the gas and away she goes. Is there any factual information behind this?
