Using the car's own computer and not doing it "the old fashioned way", I can get anywhere from 37-38 MPG to 24-27 MPG. It depends entirely on how I drive. Speed is your enemy if you want high gas mileage. To get into the high 30s I have to keep the speed down below 60. At 65 MPH I get 30 - 30.5 MPG. At 75 - 85 it drops to the mid 20s or less. On my cross America and Canada trip I drove with no regard for fuel economy, used high test gas, drove as fast as I wanted, and left the computer on the whole trip with no resetting. At the end of the trip it showed an average of 22.5 MPG. Keep the roof rack off the car and don't use the AC.
