Engine transplant - SQR Tuned TCS issues. NEED HELP! Posted by Daven [Email] (#290) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Daven) on Tue, 6 Dec 2011 20:59:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hey all.
My beloved Aero was totalled in a crash this past summer. Hit in the rear, all engine parts are good. I bought an identical Aero with low mileage to put all the go fast parts in. Recently completed engine transplant including rebuilt transmission, all the old plus some new performance parts and the ecu with custom SQR stage 5+ tune . Pictures are on the way.
The new car starts and idles normal with no lights but the gas pedal is on the floor and the throttle cable is fully withdrawn from the throttle body. No response to any input. All hoses are new as are the solenoids and check valves. Throttle body is 2 years old. All hoses are correct.
When I disconnect a hose or two the car runs and drives in limp mode. This is my 4th TCS 9000 and my 3rd engine overhaul but its the first time I've done so with late model 9000 trionic 5 components and a professionally tuned ecu. I thought the new car might be rejecting the SQR software and MAP so I reinstalled all the original stock components but the problem persisted.
My question is, does my car need to be calibrated by a professional when installing new software, or could there be other issues?
Any help would be most appreciated. I miss my old Aero terribly and can't wait to enjoy my new one.
