1994 Aero driving up to the top of a bridge when engine cuts out wont start again. I was able to get through traffic and pull to the shoulder. The car would crank with tacho up to 700-800 rpm for a second then died. Tried to restart almost 10 times, no start. Checked not a DIC problem.
Towed the car to dealer, check the fuel pressure first and found out the pressure is zero! However, the mechanic said that he did test the fuel pump fuse and it's still ground so the fuel pump should still be okay (I have no idea about this test). He's on going checking my car further on tuesday but still has no clue why the fuel pump not work too.
One weird thing is when the car died the radiator fan stop to work too.
Normally with that kind of traffic temp (temp guage around 1/2), the timer fan would still work after the engine shut off. But this time it's silence.
When I crossed the fan relay for testing, the fan just kicks in normally. Not so sure if this concern to the wont start problem.
Any clue about this problem? Any possibility that the radiator fan & fuel pump to shut off together come from the same culprit?
TIA guys!
ColinE
