you may have heard me! haha
I'm a bit north of the city and I've a 3" JT downpipe and Lou's Custom 3" the rest of the way.
no cat
no resonator (mid pipe found on some cars)
no 1st muffler
second muffler belonged on a '65 Firebird.
I love it loud, obviously.
airing one's opinions about exhaust and whether it should be quiet or not is ignorant.
It's like telling someone their taste in music is horrible or that a certain band is good or bad. What tickles your fancy may not tickles the next person's.
exhaust tuning on a SAAb is not equivalent to putting a coke can on a honda civic, and horsepower gains (or loss) through exhaust manipulation are very real, especially when ECU remapping and turbo's come into play.
the best part of mine is high rev's followed by letting off the gas. Brrrrappp pap pap pow bang bang.
I work the night shift too. HA!
For any who prefer the quiet, how would you have managed an old two stroker I dunno, but thats where we come from so keeping it loud is just paying homage to my predecessors.
