This is what he did......
- spray TriFlow lubricant into lock (he said use no other esp graphite)
- using lock picks he massaged the cylinder inside slot (apparently to ensure internals/tumblers were lined up reasonably well)
- using medium size visegrips gripping key and fully inserted in cylinder he gently twisted key cwise and ccwise and the key eventually turned.
He was all done in 5 minutes.
That lesson cost me $350 during a cold winter night :-(.
Have been very tempted since to mod cylinder by removing/dismantling then removal of most of the tumbler stack (so key would likely always turn regardless of key/cylinder condition).
